Head of Event Management, Royal Racecourse

• Hosting the annual semi-state occasion of the Royal Ascot Meeting, broadcast in over 200 countries, with an attendance of over 300,000 visitors over 5 days, and 700,000 spectators annually.

• Planned and managed the mobilisation & readiness operations during the 3-year redevelopment period, re-opening the 185-acre site for the 2006 Royal Ascot Meeting, after a £210m redevelopment programme, concluded on time and on budget.

• Working with design teams and construction partners, led operational planning for the redeveloped site for final opening, transition phases from 2003-2006 and post opening rectification works in 2007.

• Successfully obtained the Safety Certificate working with the licensing authority (DCMS).

• Concurrently staged the 2 flagship race meetings at substitute venues during the fast-track redevelopment project to produce Royal Ascot at York, immediately followed by The De Beers Diamond Weekend at Newbury.
